Sunrise Team Shaping Up

The Programme structure for Phase 1 is being finalised and recruitment is underway for some key roles. We have already recruited Graham Price (Programme Support), Chris Dolphin (Project Manager) Amar Ganja (Architect) . The new recruits are a welcomed addition to the Core Team.

The Programme Mgt group consists of Drew Tyrrell, Anthony O'Hara & Simon Hart, with Anthony and Simon also taking responsibility for their respective workstreams of Customisation / Franchisee Expreiece & Process/ Organisation Design. Ian Miller will take responsibility for Financial Configuration/Integration as well as the Information/Reporting workstream. Nick Houlton has returned to WCG and will mange the the WCG Team delivery to LeasePlan.

The system design work continues in earnest with the objective of delivering the finacial configuration & integartion workstream early to enable early testing of our financial calculations and how they flow through the lifecycle of a vehicle.

The Team have also created some story boards for this phase of the programme. These are on display in the programme Team 's area on the Ground Floor in Slough, so please stop by and have a closer look.

FUG II - "Looks fantastic"

It's been a while since we blogged, but the Team have been busy challenging our requirements and narrowing the list down to the ones that will add value to LeasePlan which will enable the project to move to the next phase.

Today saw the 2nd franchisee user group take place in Milton Keynes. The Team provided the group with a status update of the project, but most of the focus was on demonstrating the quotation prototype.

The feedback from the group was very positive especially in the following areas:

- Ability to view vehicle data i.e. technical data
- Manual quotes functionality seen as a benefit to franchisee
- Ability to see the rental impact of vehicle options
- Ability to compare quote functionality
- Ability to follow-up quote with a 'To Do'
- Finance Sheet Breakdown
 
Some of the remarks made by the group included 
"nice and simple"
"more of a sales tool than quote tool"
"5 years ahead of the competition"
 
Another positive outcome for Sunrise.

BOG Part 3

Today saw the Sunrise Business Owners Group presented with a project update. The Team (Matt, Anthony, Jo, Simon and Nic) presented the revisted quotation flow followed by a working demo which helped bring the brown paper to life. It also helped demonstrate the ground that has been covered by the Team in such a short space of time. Some key assumptions and decisions around the project were reiterated along with an update following the Steering.

As always, thanks to the BOG for their support and contribution to realising the Sunrise vision.

'Sunrise .....until sunset'

Last night the Sunrise Team had a well earned night out in Milton Keynes. It was an opportunity for the team to take some time out following a hectic schedule of work and recap on how much has been achieved. A toast was led by Matt and congratulated the Team on their efforts so far on the journey to realising the Sunrise vision. A good night was had by all with lots of laughs along the way. Back to work today and the Team continue to focus on preparation of the deliverables for the business case.

Sunrise project baby

Lovely news today. Sachin and Mrs Sachin have just announced that they are expecting a baby. We shall have a real live baby to launch into the world at the same time as our Sunrise baby! Congratulations.

FUG Endorses Sunrise

Today saw the first FUG take place at Sunrise HQ with franchisee representatives from Autorama, Fulton, IVL, West Midland Vehicles, Compass Contract Hire, MW Contracts and Central Contracts.

The Sunrise Team took the franchisses through the vision of the new 'to be' landscape followed by a walk through of the 'brown paper' and quote screen prototype. The response from our franchisee 'business partners' was very positive, ensuring that Sunrise continues to move in the right direction.

Overall, a great day and a very excited Sunrise Team following FUG feedback that Sunrise would support their individual franchise business processes.

Credit ........where credit is due !

Today the Credit Team came to town and payed a visit to the Sunrise Team. The purpose of the visit was to attend a workshop to define the Credit Team's user experience.  Nigel who is the Credit Workstream Leader commented  "A very energetic session with lots of challenging discussion which helped the Team visualise how the system would support their needs."

Recognition for Sachin - Sunrise Senior Business Analyst

Last Friday Sachin was presented with the Annual TD Group Award which was presented by Tony Priest.

Sachin received the  prestigeous award based upon feedback received by his line Manager Anthony O'Hara.

"Sachin has demonstraed his experience as an analyst with a wealth of business knowledge in the vehicle leasing sector, coupled with excellent analytical skills and is also a very popular team member within IT and the Business. I have received unsolicited feedback from key business stakeholders regarding Sachin. As a result Sachin has become known for his diligence, intelligence and consistency. Sachin has played a key part in defining the Sunrise requirements and has acted as a role model and mentor for the rest of the Team”
